Start from the marketing trial CTA, which opens the GENIUS Phone setup flow. Clerk account and organization setup happen inside that onboarding path before the workspace wizard opens.
Step 1 — Enter Business Details
Tell us about your business so adaptlive can pre-load the right defaults:
- Business Name — Appears in the assistant UI and on wrap-up drafts.
- Industry — Choose from Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Law, Insurance, Auto, Property Management, and more. This pre-populates relevant playbook templates.
- Team Size — Helps us recommend the right plan tier.
Step 2 — Connect Your Number
adaptlive works by forwarding your existing business number through our system. You keep your number — we route calls through adaptlive and back to your staff in under a second.
- In the onboarding wizard, click Set Up Call Forwarding.
- Enter your current business phone number.
- Follow the carrier-specific forwarding instructions shown for your carrier (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Google Voice, etc.).
- Call the number from a different phone to verify that the assistant cockpit lights up.
Step 3 — Create Your First Playbook
A playbook is the AI script that guides your staff during a call. In the wizard, choose one of the built-in templates (e.g., "New Customer Intake" or "Service Appointment Booking") or start from scratch.
Step 4 — Run a Test Call
Call your business number, answer from a staff device, and watch the cockpit fill in questions and draft your wrap-up in real time. When satisfied, click Go Live to enable adaptlive for all incoming calls.
