Driver Coordination
Your drivers, DoorDash drivers, Uber Eats drivers, the customer themselves — all need to know which food is theirs and when it's ready.
The driver dashboard
POS → Manager view shows every active order with its delivery status:
- House driver — on the way back, currently delivering, available.
- Third-party driver — ETA from DoorDash/Uber, arrived, picked up.
- Customer pickup — arrived (signaled from your "I'm here" SMS link), running late.
Handoff
When a third-party driver arrives, the system pings the pickup station with order numbers ready for handoff. Scan the order, mark handed off, the customer gets a notification.
Late driver alert
If a driver hasn't arrived 5 minutes past ETA and the food is bagged, an alert pops on the manager view. Decide: reassign to another driver, contact the customer, or hold the bag and wait.
