Forwarding from RingCentral

Forward a RingCentral extension or main number to adaptlive via the admin portal's call handling rules.

RingCentral

RingCentral routes calls per user or per extension. Decide whether to forward the main number, a department queue, or an individual user before you start.

  1. Open Admin Portal → Phone System → Phone Numbers → [number] → Call Handling. Select "User hours" or "After hours" — whichever you want to forward.
  2. Under "Where to forward calls," choose External Number and enter your adaptlive number — {FORWARDING_NUMBER}.
  3. Set the ring timeout so calls fall through to adaptlive promptly — 8 seconds is reasonable.

Notes

  • RingCentral can simultaneously ring multiple destinations. If you want both your team and adaptlive to ring, use the "Ring all" or "Hunt group" option and add adaptlive as one of the ring targets.
