adaptlive can answer texts on your behalf — but only when you've told it the guardrails.
Per-channel policy
Settings → Messages → Automation. Configure separately for SMS and RCS — different reliability, different latency, different cost.
The three knobs
- Rate limit — Max AI messages per thread per hour. Stops a confused conversation from spiraling.
- Identity confidence — Minimum confidence we have that the texter is who we think they are. Below threshold, AI hands off to a human.
- Guardrails — Topics or phrases that always escalate (cancellations, refunds, complaints — pick what fits).
Watch the rationale
Every AI message ships with a one-line reason ("Confirmed appointment, identity match 0.91"). Read those for a week before you trust the policy. Or before you tighten it.
