What a Workflow Is

A workflow is the shape of your work — the fields you capture, the stages you move through, the rules that fire.

Workflows

A workflow is a shape — what kind of work your business does, what data you capture for it, and what stages it moves through.

The pieces

  • Fields — The data captured per record. "Service address" for a plumber. "Policy number" for an insurance agent. "Allergy notes" for a restaurant.
  • Stages — The states a record passes through. Draft → Confirmed → Scheduled → Completed → Synced.
  • Surface rules — Which fields the live cockpit pops up when, and which signals trigger a stage change.

Where workflows show up

During a call, the cockpit captures the right fields based on the active workflow. Pipeline groups records by their workflow stages. Tasks (callbacks, follow-ups) are tied to workflow definitions.
